Last year on Memorial Day, my Dad passed away. It was a really hard time for all us family members, and I got through by spending as much time with him as humanly possible while I still could; and writing it out.
This is a collection of posts about my Dad’s heartbreaking struggle with a sudden and fatal illness.
The Beginning: Cancer Sucks
The Middle: My Dad
A Miracle: A Miracle?
Rest In Peace: Goodbye, Dad.
Memorial Day; One Year Later
His amazing spirit lives on. Little things he did brightened both loved ones’ and strangers days. He still inspires me to this day. Here’s some wisdom he passed on to me:
-Be kind to strangers
-Don’t be afraid to sing in public
-Be silly
-Love this woman (My MOM!):
-A good story goes a long way
-Life’s too short not to indulge at times
-Learn from your mistakes
-Love life
-Listen to The Eagles, Neil Young and Cat Stephens as much as possible.
