Blossoming Lotus Winter Lunch

On a recent wintery day (my birthday, which was actually eons ago, in February), my roommate and I went to Blossoming Lotus for lunch. It’s a short walk from the house, and with raw, vegan and gluten-free options, it’s an easy choice when we’re hungry.

Note my Our Hen House bag by my side.

I started with a cup of coffee and soy milk.

And we shared two entrees. The wraps here are big, and filling, and perfect to split if you’re with a dining companion.

The first is a wrap with lots of veggies and white bean spread. You can put white bean spread in anything and I’ll eat it. (Michele from Vegtastic Voyage recently made her first white bean spread. I’m hoping she’ll share with me next time.) Bo Lo’s white bean spread is reallllly good, too.

Yurm.

The second wrap we shared is always extraordinarily delicious. With bbq soy curls and greens, I easily demolished my half. This is exactly what I crave when I crave Blo Lo.

I am, in fact, craving it right now just looking at this picture.

Note: I think I like writing about Blo Lo so much because the natural lighting in there lends itself so easily to photographs.

      Awwww, thanks! <3

  • <3 Blossoming Lotus! I only wish it has bigger seating area 🙂

    • I love the lighting for photos in there, too! I was very impressed with yours shots from the restaurant in Budapest–it’s so dark in there, all my photos look a little blurry and dim, but yours are beautiful.

      • Aw thank you, I used a lens with lower F number (considered as better in low light condition), and it is a pain in the arse to carry a heavy camera, but it is worth it if you wish to photograph food photos in dark areas.

Actually, most eateries are dark (I really don’t know why…and it annoys me), and Blossoming Lotus has beautiful lighting, too, including Departure!

I’m so excited to read new posts on your blog! I don’t know many traveling vegans, you’re probably the only one (eeeek!)! So happy to find your blog! And you look so cute in the photo! ^____^

        • I know what you mean about the lighting! I pick what time of day to eat and where in a restaurant to sit based on lighting, quite frequently. 🙂 Glad to meet a fellow traveling vegan! Maybe we’ll meet in ‘real’ life soon. 🙂

          • Yes, hopefully soon! 🙂 Have a lovely time in Budapest!
