Vida Vegan Con-test: Burrito Bonanza!

Hi there!

This is the post in which I announce my contest for a ticket to the Sold-Out-First Ever-International-Vegan-Blogging-Conference, Vida Vegan Con.

If you missed the chance to win Get Sconed and Vegtastic Voyage’s contests, don’t fret, I have one Golden Ticket left. This ticket will gain you admittance to the entire weekend’s conference + off-site events (<– more info on THAT coming soon!) Airfare and accommodation are not included.

 Vida Vegan Con, happening THIS August in Portland, is going to be pretty damn sweet, pardon my French. With two full days of jam-packed workshops, panels and talks featuring your favorite bloggers, authors and friends, this conference is the most exciting thing to happen all year, according to me. And I should know, because I consider myself an expert in exciting things.

I can’t compete with an awesome song-off or a delightful self-portrait-in-food, so I had to really delve deep for my contest. I wanted it to be representative of vegan food + blogging, plus incorporate something that’s representative of Epicurious Vegan. And I wanted it be FUN!

What is fun and awesome and bloggable and yelpable and my favorite thing ever?

That’s easy.

MEXICAN FOOD.

Whether it’s a burrito, a taco, or another burrito, it’s clear that I am fully addicted to anything wrapped in a tortilla.

So without further ado, I announce:

The Epicurious Vegan Bodacious Burrito Bonanza Contest! (Wahoo!)

Make a burrito.

Blog about it.

Link your post in my comments section.

Sounds simple, right?

It is.

Make a burrito— the best burrito ever. It can be whatever you want (a dessert burrito or a burrito the size of your head, for example). Be creative!

Fine Print, writ large:

  • You must make it yourself. No gussying up a Gordita. (That would be sweet though. I would totally give you street cred points for that.)
  • It has to be vegan (Duh.)
  • Your burrito doesn’t have to contain any traditional ingredients—want to use something other than a tortilla or beans? Go for it. And seriously, get creative.

Link to you post in the comments. I will pick a winner on June 25th. Submissions must be received by midnight Portland-time on June 24th.

I don’t have specific criteria for winning. A combination of YOUR votes and my over-zealous burrito-loving opinion will be the deciding factor. I’ll post links on my Facebook page and look for your input. (Like Epicurious Vegan here to keep up to date.)

    Dear Epicurious,

    I am so excited to enter this contest and I am working on my entry but I have some questions. Should I link my blog to your blog’s comment section or your facebook’s comment section? Who will vote on the vegan burrito entry? Will that be you? If I enter my blog on June 23 or 24th, will that still be enough time to acquire votes?
